Human Mage's FAQ Friday, January 28, 2011
12:43 PM

Originaly posted by Beelzebub

1 ) Which kind of weapons can I use?
- You can use wands, magic swords, staff and magic quoits.

2 ) Which kind of armors can I use?
- It's recommendable to use robes, but you can also wear light armor if you're focusing in a hybrid agility build to have more physical defense.

3 ) When can I fly?
- When you reach level 30 you'll get the quest that let you have the neccesary item to fly.

4 ) As I'm a Mage, which kind of elements can I control?
- You'll control Fire, Water and Earth elements - Of course at the beggining you'll need to specializate in a single element or two as much so you can focus about rising spells to maximum level since the very beggining.

5 ) Is there any important difference between the elements?
- Fire is the weakest element but you can cast it very fast, water is a balanced element between fire and earth, and earth is the most powerful element but the slowest to cast.

6 ) Ok, the most powerful's earth one, then I'll be earth element to be the strongest mage...
- No, that doesn't work that way, you must be very strong to kill your enemies in only one hit, but for example if a enemy resist you more than one hit you'll need another spell to cast, maybe in the time you cast 2 spells of earth element you've already casted 3 fire spells and killed your enemy. Weigh up the situation and choose the one you like the most.

7 ) Which are the pros and cons of each element?
- Maybe this'll be the longest FAQ:
• Fire: Fire is the fastest element, there are some damage per second spells. Almost all the spell in the fire skill-tree are magic attack spells but a fire shield that'll protect you from fire and another extra bonus.
• Water: This is a balanced element, its casting time is balanced between fire and earth and damage also balanced between these both elements too. Water skill-tree is formed by buffs, heals and magic attack spells, and some of these spells slow down your enemies.
• Earth: Earth element is a wild and destructive one, because of this you'll take some time to conjure it to destroy your enemies. Earth skill-tree is formed by stun spells, a shield buff, debuffs and magic attack spells.

8 ) Any of these elements do Area on Effect (AoE) damage?
- All the elements have a final AoE spell, but the only element that have another AoE spell is fire element, a continuos fire damaging spell that won't stop until your mana becomes zero. Also there's another fire spell that's a conical AoE.

9 ) As I see spells are very important for this class, are there any enemies weak to these elements?
- Enemies of metal element will be weak to fire, fire to water and water to earth.

10 ) How can I level fastly?
- Do some quests, you'll have lots of quests for almost every level.

11 ) Which quests should I do after level 20? They aren't listed anywhere
- My friend, open quest window (pressing "Q" for example) then click on Search Mission. You'll get the coordinates for the NPC that have some quests for you.

12 ) What function will I do in parties?
- It's very simple, you'll be the damage dealer that only attack and kill the enemies. You won't be called as healer even if you have your healing spell learnt, it's very slow although effective.

13 ) Does my spell have the possibility to miss?
- No, it's one of the best things about mages, your spells will never miss.

14 ) Elements can be OK for PvE (Player versus Enviroment), but for real living enemies (PvP/PK). Will be any difference if I attack them with different elements?
- Of course, if you haven't noticed, armors give magical defense too, if you watch closer you can see your enemies equipment and attack them depending of the elemental defenses they have.

15 ) Is mage a weak character?
- If saying weak you mean you'll resist few hits, maybe it can be, but you can try constitution + intelligence hybrid build to resist a bit more. Anyways you can easily kill your enemies.

16 ) Which kind weapon is the best?
- There isn't best kind weapon, only the stronger you find, equip it and compare with the previous one you had. Some weapons will make differente oscilations between minimal and maximum damage, just keep a sharp eye!

17 ) Which kind of build are the most recommended for the mage?
- Well, there's different kind of builds but I'll comment the most recommended for mages:
• Pure/Full Intelligence: This build is based in pure destruction, you'll destroy your enemies easily but you'll have a low physical defense and some enemies maybe kill you too fast. This is a build for advanced players.
• Pure/Full Constitution: This build is based in resisting your enemies' hits, you could take more time to kill your enemies but they'll take more time to kill you too, you'll have a high defense and hit points. This is a build for semiadvanced players.
• Hybrid between Constitution and Intelligence: This build is based in balance, maybe it's the easy one to level since the very beggining, you'll rise some additional intelligence even if you weapons or armors don't require to have a medium damage and also rise your constitution to have a medium hit point quantity. This is a build for begginer beginner players.
• Agility Hybrid: This build can be combined with any other kind of build. This build will let you equip light armors to have a higher physical defense, it's for advanced players.

18 ) Which kind of criteria are you using to say a build is for beginner, semiadvanced and advanced players?
- It's simple, I base my criteria depending what I've seen and read, the easiest build to level is a build you can resist and attack well (as a constitution and intelligence hybrid build), a Pure Intelligence or Agility hybrid builds are for players that know what they're doing with their players. A Full Constitution build is semiadvanced because you can resist the hits well, and that's not difficult to level up. But as a Agility Hybrid you can wear light equipment, that build's done for Area on Effect Parties (AoE Parties) and maybe wars. But Pure Intelligence build is the most difficult to level up, but you'll do a lot of magic damage.

19 ) Ok, if I'm a beginner character I can't choose advanced players build?
- Of course you can choose every build, if you're a player that's able to get over the most difficults challenges, you'll make your character being strong, so, go ahead and choose the build you want! You can customize your character as you want, if you discover any good build to level up your character share it with us!

20 ) Then pure intelligence mages die a lot?
- You'll die sometimes but if you level up well and equip it good you can make Pure Intelligence the best build of the game. Any build you choose can be perfect in its own ways. It's all up to you!

21 ) Can I heal myself and my friends?
- Yes, you have a healing skill but it's slow and not very effective.
